Sacred Heart Church - Southbury, Connecticut, U.S.A.

Rising very early before dawn, he left and went off to a deserted place, where he prayed. Simon and those who were with him pursued him and on finding him said, "Everyone is looking for you." He told them, "Let us go on to the nearby villages that I may preach there also. For this purpose have I come."

Mk.1:35-38

CD to Benefit Carolyn's Place

Inspired by the sanctity of life, composer Tom Siano of Woodbury has released a double CD of original music written to offer hope and guidance to young women in crisis. Produced by Siano, the CD features vocal performances by the Adult Choir of St. Teresa of Avila Church in Woodbury, along with friends from Sacred Heart Church in Southbury, including performances by Jennifer Lafreniere and Mark Mifflin, and accompanied by pianist and Director of Music, Patricia Richards. CDs are being sold for $15, and all proceeds are being donated to Carolyn’s Place, a crisis pregnancy center on Grandview Avenue in Waterbury, CT. Please see Patty Richards after any mass to purchase your CD.

Online Giving Changes

SHC is switching from ParishPay to OnlineGiving.com as a vendor for our online giving service. ParishPay will cease all transactions, effective 5/5, so parishioners using the original service will have to do nothing, except to sign up for Online Giving. For instructions on how to sign up (even if you haven't used the previous service), go to our Online Giving page. Use of the online giving system is encouraged since it is convenient, safe, secure, aids with parish financial planning, and helps to reduce the workload of our office staff.
