A Charlie Brown Christmas Story
Told by the Youth of Sacred Heart Church
12/12/2004

The angels wait (in joyful prayer of course) for the beginning of the pageant. I asked one of them how many of them could dance on the head of a pin, but she said she didn't want to dance. Another philosophical question remains unanswered....rats.
Kevin Kaufman began the pageant with the opening music.
Woodstock (Nathan Gibson) and Snoopy (Jillian Bradshaw) from the Charlie Brown gang wait patiently for the wonderful events to begin.
Charlie Brown (Bernard Kokinchak) and the gang begin telling the Christmas story.
The Angel Gabriel (Dom Narducci) visits Mary (Chelsea Pinero) to give her the good news about her future in God's plans.
Charlie Brown seeks counsel from Lucy (Megan O'Lena). Nothing is free of course.
Ceasar Augustus (Ashleigh Monroe) makes a proclamation to his Scribe (Diana Ruggiero) demanding a census be taken. The Scribe wrote down the information and then asked Ceasar if he wanted a salad...
Mary and Joseph (Mike Meehan) are told to report for the census and then go to Bethlehem. Mary carries the pregnancy well.
Peppermint Patty (Brittany Pinero) gives Charlie Brown some encouragement.
"Angels We Have Heard On High" was as beautiful part of the production.
Is there any room at the Inn? You know the answer.
Gabriel and a mini-legion of angels watch over the birth of Jesus (Caitlin Meyer) who is with Mary and Joseph in the front.
Gabriel "certains" the poor shepards in the nearby countryside. They quickly come and visit Jesus.
Charlie Brown gets filled in while The Holy Family sits in front with the animals.
Enter the Three Kings (Cooper Mooney, Kathleen Mooney, and Dennis-Michael Sullivan), who stop to speak with King Herod (Collen Gunning) before heading on to Bethlehem.
They decide to go back via a different route....
A drummer boy (Greg Meyers) plays for Jesus.
The entire cast of the Christmas Story in the final scene.
The Holy Family takes their bows. As well they should.
Rebecca Bradshaw was the director of the pageant this year and did a wonderful job at that. Here she is announcing refreshments at the end of the pageant.
