IMG_0772 * Jenna Richards, Chelsea Richards, Jillian Kaplita, ALexandra DeRosa, and Neil Griffin, along with Judy Hennessey and Marge Griffin recently attended the Steubenville East Youth Conference at the LaSallette Shrine in Attleboro, MA. IMG_0763_2 * Where do you sleep? We sleep in gigantic tents! Guys on one side of the campus, women on the other and many volunteers staying up all night, being sure it stays that way! This is our tent, which held about 120 women. In one tent, we counted 720 spaces for sleeping! Everyone gets a small area to sleep in. Porta-potties and portable showers are brought in for the weekend. Meals are served cafeteria style; you pass through the line pretty quickly! But it does take a quite a while serving so many at once. * 240 x 320 * (20KB)

IMG_0776 * Despite the extreme heat, priests from the Attleboro area, as well as those who attend with their youth groups, gather to process in as we begin mass on Saturday morning. St. Rose's group from Newtown was next to us that morning. * 320 x 240 * (26KB)

IMG_0787 * On Saturday evening, after Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, our group moved outside the tent to do the Happy Dance, then down to the cafeteria for pizza and conversation! Looks like Neil couldn't wait to eat! * 240 x 320 * (16KB)

IMG_0801 * We traveled with other youth groups from other Waterbury churches. Hot, tired and happy to be home, nevertheless most lingered as we said goodbye and gave final hugs. * 320 x 240 * (28KB)
